JOB TITLE: Construction Site Supervisor

FLSA: Full-Time; Hourly/Non-Exempt

DURATION: Open Until 11/30/2023

HIRING RANGE: $35.00 – $40.00

Position Purpose

The Construction Site Supervisor is Master Carpenter responsible for providing supervision of OIC, Inc.’s Construction Site Supervisors, and construction sites which includes directing the work of the construction crew and ensuring all safety and quality standards are adhered to.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  1. Attendance during normal work hours is an essential function of the job to ensure work goals are met and customers are served.
  2. Able to work and travel to various worksites in NC.
  3. Supervise and direct construction work crew.
  4. Procure necessary materials and tools for construction projects.
  5. Train work crew on safety regulations and accident protocol, ensuring all standards are adhered to.
  6. Report all site accidents and injuries per OIC protocol.
  7. Ensure construction projects meet design and safety specifications.
  8. In coordination with the Construction Manager, set a work plan and monitor the progress of construction work to ensure the project is completed on schedule.
  9. Assist with the selection and supervision of sub-contractors.
  10. Conduct site inspections regularly.
  11. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or other related field of study; Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education; Minimum of 5 years’ experience in supervising construction work crews; Valid Driver’s License.

Must be able to lift 50lbs; willing to work outside in high and low temperatures in different seasonal environments; handle a variety of construction equipment.

Other Skills & Abilities 

Project Management; Good interpersonal and supervisory skills; Solid grasp of building compliance and safety regulations; Technical ability to interpret construction methods, contracts, and drawings.
